President of the Indian Staffing Federation Rituparna Chakraborty discusses the skills crisis in India and what can be done in an article in The Financial Times. “While there is a considerable talk around skills of late, many of the initiatives seem to be working in silos”, Chakraborty wrote. “We have to take a combined view of aligning vocational training, apprenticeships, online learning, syncing with the National Skills Qualifications Framework and coordination of multiple central and state-specific ministries”.
