The Ōnin Group acquires light industrial staffing firm

The Ōnin Group, a privately held staffing provider based in Birmingham, Alabama, acquired Trac Staffing, a light industrial staffing company located in Fort Smith, Arkansas and Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

The transaction closed Oct. 11; terms were not disclosed. Trac Staffing, which has two locations and 175 contingent workers, will be rebranded as Ōnin Staffing.

Trac Staffing was founded in 1994 by Kasey Moran, who became CEO in 2008. Moran will assume the role of area manager at Ōnin Staffing and continue developing the Arkansas and Oklahoma markets.

“Trac Staffing’s desire for growth and passion for entrepreneurial leadership was a great fit for Ōnin,” said Jim Weaver, COO of The Ōnin Group. “Ōnin is excited to continue building on the foundation of values, performance and a spirit of determination that Ms. Moran and her team have developed in Arkansas and Oklahoma.”

The Ōnin Group is has more than 100 offices spanning the Southwest, Midwest and Southeastern states. Its other staffing brands include Ōnin Staffing, Excelsior Staffing, A3 Solutions, Fōcus, Workforce Solutions and Ōnin Professional Search.
