JobsMiner Is First Job Search Engine Covering All Social Networks

A group of technology and marketing entrepreneurs in Israel have come up with the first jobs search engine that they claim covers all social networks.

JobsMiner

JobsMiner.com crawls social networks, blogs and forums, filtering out the and finding only opportunities relevant to the job seeker. The aim of the search engine is to uncover “hidden jobs” that individual job seekers using social media would normally be unable to locate due to the limitations of the size of their networks.

JobsMiner.com is based on a technology known as “Makam.”

According to the JobsMiner website:

“Makam is the leading Israeli provider of online monitoring and analysis services, serving thousands of users in top Israeli local and global organizations.

Makam has unique contextual analysis capabilities and is currently in the process of registering a patent for its algorithms and development (patent pending – United States Patent Application No. 61/473,920).

The system applies contextual algorithms in an accurate search engine that isolates the relevant content, weeding out the “noise”. The Makam system handles huge amounts of data daily, checking billions of possible correlations.”

The technology is embedded within Facebook, connecting job seekers to employers via their own Facebook and LinkedIn accounts, according to the company.

“Job seekers are fed up with some job boards publishing meritless job postings with the sole intent of collecting resumes that simply get sold or otherwise included in a resume database somewhere,” according to a statement on the JobsMiner website.

Among JobsMiner’s founders are software developer and global MySQL expert, Shlomi Noach and
Ran Enoch, cofounder and CEO of Start.co.il, which was acquired by MSN Israel and Internet Gold. Enoch co-founded Makam.

Also on the JobsMiner team is Yoram Choter-Ishi, owner and CEO of I&M, Israel’s largest independent interactive advertising agency. Choter-Ishi has worked with such clients as Manpower, ORS and various online classifieds services in Israel such as MA’ARIV and HA’IR.
