A prosecutor in Cebu City, Philippines, has indicted two women who cheated two applicants into non-existent employment abroad in 2015, reports the Sun Star. The prosecutor said that the two women were not authorised to recruit workers for overseas employment. Both were accused of violating the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act. The women promised the two victims jobs in China and charged them a combined nearly USD 1,500 as fees.
