Minister of External Affairs in India, Sushma Swaraj, has said that IT firms operating in the US are generating jobs, not stealing them, reports the Hindustan Times. Swaraj also said that between 2011 and 2015, Indian companies have made an investment of USD 2 billion, paid taxes worth USD 20 billion and Indian workers have contributed USD 7 billion in social security programs in the US. Swaraj also added that Indian companies have given direct employment to 156,000 Americans and supportive jobs to 411,000 Americans.
