China – Didi Chuxing in talks with SoftBank about $6 billion investment (Reuters)

Chinese ride-sharing firm Didi Chuxing is in negotiations with Japan’s SoftBank Group Corp about a USD 6 billion investment, reports Reuters. Didi, already backed by companies such as Apple, is looking to compete on a global scale against rivals such as Uber. Last year, Uber sold its Chinese subsidiary to Didi. Both companies declined to comment on the negotiations.
