Japan – SMS Co reports 30% increase in revenue

Japanese healthcare services provider SMS Co Ltd (2175: JP) reported revenue today for the nine months ending 31 December 2016 of JPY 16.7 billion (USD 145.7 million), an increase of 30.1% compared with JPY 12.8 billion (USD 105.9 million) during the same period last year.

The company operates a number of websites specialising in services for older people. The company also operates recruitment and job board websites for healthcare professionals specifically looking to work in older people services and it also provides a variety of recruiting agent services for paramedical workers.

In trading today, the company’s closed at JPY 2,810.00 (USD 24.5), down 0.68% and 8.62% below its 52-week high of JPY 3,075.00 (USD 26.8), set on 14 October 2016. Based on its current share price the company has a market value of JPY 121.07 billion (USD 1.05 billion).
