CTC Labour Hire in central Queensland is fighting back against claims workers in the area are being mistreated, and is asking the government to take a closer look at the industry before introducing a licensing scheme, the (Mackay, Australia) Daily Mercury reports. “CTC believes that there are a number of things that would assist with cleaning up the industry rather than something that is costly, time consuming and labour intensive and would be happy to be part of the discussions”, CTC General Manager Darryl Lapworth told the newspaper.
