A Brazilian human cloud, ride-sharing firm called 99, formerly known as 99Taxis, announced a partnership with China-based ride sharing firm Didi Chuxing. 99 said Didi lead an investment round in the firm and will be entitled to a seat on its board.
Reuters reports the investment round totaled more than USD 100 million.
The deal will also bring strategic support from Didi as 99 expands in Brazil and other markets. 99 has more than 140,000 registered drivers and more than 10 million users.
Didi Chuxing had acquired Uber’s China operations last year.
