The Japanese Government is planning to request businesses to give pay hikes and bonus payments to non-regular workers in the same way they do to regular workers, reports Jiji Press. The request is part of the government’s planned guidelines for fixing the wage gap and conditions between regular and non-regular workers to ensure equal pay for equal work. Under these guidelines, companies will be urged to make equal payments for the portion of bonuses that correspond to workers’ contributions to earnings.
