The National Union of workers filed a test lawsuit again Covino Farms, one of Australia’s largest vegetable growers, claiming migrant workers were grossly underpaid and forced to work extreme hours, the ABC reported. The workers are seeking AUD 500,000 in back pay, and the union hopes the lawsuit will establish that Covino is responsible for the practices of its labour hire firms.
